The idea of energy fields both inside of, and surrounding the body, is one shared by a multitude of cultures around the world - and there are as many names for it as there are cultures.

Those who are unfamiliar, or who do not understand the concept, often refer to it as a mystical or “New Age” hypothesis or assumption.
